If you’re familiar with the Law of Attraction (LOA) or not you will find that using affirmations can greatly enhance the effects that the LOA has on your life. While stating affirmations may be simple there are some guidelines you should follow to help them enhance your desires. If you have read any information on personal development then I’m sure you’re aware that affirmations must be stated in the positive in order to be effective. Here’s an example of the wrong way to state an affirmation. “I don’t want to fail my test tomorrow.” Our brains do not interpret words like don’t, can’t, or won’t. It totally disregards the word. Reread the affirmation without using the word don’t. You are literally telling your brain and your subconscious that you want to fail the test. Here’s one way of stating it positively. “ I’m going to ace my test tomorrow.” See the difference?

There are several reasons why positive affirmations can help you achieve your own personal abundance. The main reason is stating a positive affirmation helps control what you focus on. The LOA states that what you focus on is what you create. So if you can stay focused on “Acing your test” instead of “I don’t want to fail my test” then you will more than likely be much better off. Just stating an affirmation is no substitute for studying.

I have found that writing my affirmations down helps me to focus in on the positive. It also helps me to remember them. Try to set a few minutes aside each day to reiterate them and help keep you focused.

Hope this helpsDonald Allen
